aims at simulating the real-world mechanisms that cause and sustain poverty in 3rd World countries. In the game, the player gets to manage an African farm, and is soon confronted with the often difficult choices that poverty and conflict necessitate.

An online video game experience to help players understand what it is like to be a refugee. Players experience the three phases of a refugee's journey: 1) war and conflict; 2) border country; and 3) a new life. Players learn some of the reasons people need to flee their country, as well as the hardships they encounter as they try to obtain asylum and establish themselves in a new country.

America 2049

The premise of this game is that human rights are in peril and democracy is in the dust. The player is an agent of the Council on American Heritage, sent to capture mysterious fugitive Ken Asaba and put in high-risk situations. The game challenges a player to ask: "What if? How close are we already to America 2049? How can we work together in real life to build a better future?" This game is accessed through Facebook and includes other social media, fictional websites, historical artifacts, real-life events, and Hollywood celebrities.

The game is about a young blind boy, who has to go alone to school. He has to overcome different types of obstacles, he encounters, on the way: in the street, using public transport, etc. The game poses some questions for reflection about the problem with discrimination towards disabled people.

Darfur is Dying
An online video game that provides a window into the experience of the 2.5 million refugees in the Darfur region of Sudan. Players must keep their refugee camp functioning in the face of possible attack by Janjaweed militias. Players can also learn more about the genocide in Darfur and find ways to get involved to help stop this human rights and humanitarian crisis.

This memory game encourages players to reflect on education as an essential human rights issue and critically analyse the level of access to quality education world-wide.

The game provides interesting information about the life-works of some famous individuals who have fought for human rights in various countries.
The chart on the screen contains pieces from the short biographies of four human rights activists. The main task of the game is to match the piece with the correct character and thereby to build up a brief description of each person.
