Zarina Baber is an Information Technology professional who is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Technology Management at the University of St. Thomas. Her bachelor’s degree is from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. In 1996, she established a part-time, volunteer-based free health clinic for the uninsured. She was the recipient of the Hennepin County Employee Recognition Award in 2000, and the Community Leadership Award from the Council on Asian-Pacific Minnesotans in 2001.
An educator by profession, Taslima Khaled is a Community Faculty member and full-time Academic Advisor in the College of Management at Metropolitan State University. She teaches Interpersonal/Intercultural Communication courses, and has given numerous presentations to community and church groups and public schools. She is also the founder of Muslim Community Outreach, a volunteer organization serving free hot meals to senior citizens of Bloomington since 2000. A resident of Richfield, Taslima is married and the mother of three children.
