Refugees in Minnesota

What is the difference between a refugee and an asylum seeker?  How do refugees get to the U.S. and to Minnesota?  What special legal and cultural challenges do refugees face once they are here?  Minnesota is home to large numbers of refugees from many different countries.  Coming from all over the world, refugees have one thing in common: they were forced to flee their home country and make a new life in the U.S.  The presentation explores this phenomenon and gives an introduction to the legal and cultural challenges faced by refugees as they make a new life in Minnesota.
