Mamadee Sesay

Mamadee Sesay is a Liberian who spent over ten years in the Waterloo Refugee Camp in Sierra Leone. With nothing to do, he became a very good scrabble player. Beyond that idleness was an ambition for education. Through persistence and courage, Sesay was privileged to earn the Albert Einstein scholarship leading to a BA in Education/Economics from Njala University College, University of Sierra Leone. He furthered his education at Hamline University in St. Paul, MN, where he earned an MA in Nonprofit Management and a certificate in Economic Development.

Sesay currently works for Minneapolis Public Schools after having worked with US Bank and Community Mediation Services. He lives in the Twin Cities with his wife, Isatu and their beautiful daughters, Jenneh, Masu, Fatu and Aminata.
