Lecture Series
The Advocates for Human Rights coordinates several lectures series. Guest lecturers and The Advocates' staff speak on human rights topics of interest to legal professionals as well as the general public. Lectures generally offer CLE credit and are usually held in downtown Minneapolis. They are free and open to the public. Check the events calendar to find out about upcoming lectures.

Death Penalty Lecture Series
Held every other month, this speaker series examines various issues relating to capital punishment. Women's Human Rights Lecture Series
Launched on February 13, 2007, this series is dedicated to improving awareness of women’s human rights issues. The series is coordinated in partnership with  Briggs and Morgan and takes place on the second Tuesday of the month in alternating months. Boxed lunches are provided by Briggs and Morgan. Post-September 11th Lecture Series
This lecture series aims to facilitate healthy dialogue about immigration-related issues relating to refugees, immigrants and religious minorities post 9/11 and ways in which we can take action to end bias in our communities.  The series is co-sponsored by and held at Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi LLP and will be held from August 2007 through June 2008. Buffet lunch is provided. Learn more...

Human Rights Lecture Series
This ongoing lecture series has been co-sponsored by Fredrickson & Byron since 2002. In 2008 the series will focus on the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
